Empact has conducted an evaluation study for the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate (EAC) on the application of Responsible Business Conduct (RBC) in fourteen business instruments. The Dutch government wants companies which are active in the Netherlands and do business abroad, to work Responsible. The most important question that EAC had was: how can EAC contribute to ensuring that Dutch businesses that uses EAC instruments (such as subsidies) do business in an responsible manner. The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) conducted a pilot on imposing RBC requirements on companies. Empact has evaluated this pilot and the report made on it will be sent to the Dutch Parliament.
“As a client, I am very satisfied with the end result. It has become a valuable report. The people at Empact are experts in the field of RBC, the OECD guidelines and due diligence. Not only do they have substantive knowledge of relevant legislation and international treaties, they also place this in context. Empact has involved the EAC and RVO thoroughly. Through their contacts with companies, their vision has also been extensively included in the report. EAC will include the evaluation and recommendations in the further development of the policy.
I experienced the collaboration as very pleasant. A professional and structured approach, with clear interim results and coordination moments. The schedule was met accurately even on the day. The method of moving forward step by step and the frequent consultations with me as the client ensured that I remained involved and was in a position to make adjustments if necessary. The balance between digital and physical consultations was also good.
I like to keep in touch with the people at Empact and highly recommend them”.
