For whom this is interesting
ESG/CSR staff, general management, investors (PE & VC), shareholders
Very often ESG activities first start with external demand for it, be it customers that would like to have more ESG-friendly products, the finance and legal departments that are required to compile the reporting documentation for (new) regulations or management and employees who contribute input and ideas on how to improve the business’ ESG performance. Usually, these teams start to work in silos and their efforts hardly make it across their individual departments, but ESG is company-wide and also requires collaboration and communication with external parties. The tasks will get bigger, so it is necessary to establish an in-house ESG team that shares the work and contributes their individual expertise to it.
The workshop covers the following topics:
- What ESG means
- Definition of departments to involve
- Further parties to involve
- Roles to fulfil
- Tasks to perform
- Governance and reporting structures
- Organisational structure
It will also trigger conversations among the participants who probably would not in day-to-day work discuss this topic in a structured and guided way. The different perspectives on this will add valuable insights into how to tackle ESG. The workshop will include discussions dealing with your individual company set-up, identify chances, obstacles, and possible next steps. After finishing the workshop you will have documented and actionable to-dos for your business.
Prior to the workshop, our consultants will have a briefing call with you to understand your motivation, objectives, and status quo and perform desktop research on your company and respective industry to tailor the workshop to your needs.
